IB English Diploma Preparation Programme

Our programme focuses on Language A: language and literature and is designed to help students learn how to critically study and interpret written and spoken texts from a wide range of literary and non literary genres.

For the language part, student will explore cultural development and use, its media forms and functions, and its literature. Our goal is help students develop skills of literary and textual analysis, and also the ability to present their ideas effectively.

Typical content that will be covered for language in a cultural context is the language of gender, sexuality, political power, propaganda, multilingualism, identity etc.

The content that will be covered in language and mass communication includes textual bias, persuasive language, stereotypes, media institutions etc.

IGCSE English Preparation Programme

Students on the programme develop the ability to communicate clearly, accurately and effectively in both speech and writing. They learn how to employ a wide-ranging vocabulary, use correct grammar, spelling and punctuation, and develop a personal style and an awareness of the audience being addressed.

Of our goals, we aim to develop a student’s general analysis and communication skills such as synthesis, inference, and the ability to order facts and present opinions effectively.

For English Literature, we help students understand prose, drama and poetry.  Work that we cover in great detail includes that of Thomas Hardy, William Shakespeare, and Arthur Miller.

HKDSE English Preparation Programme

This program provides a complete review of the English HKDSE Examination syllabus through the use of practice, mock and past examination papers.  Apart from papers, students will be taught effective examination strategies in order to attain excellent marks in all four papers of the English HKDSE Examination.

Students will learn how to identify answers efficiently, write effectively in order to fulfil level 5 or more content, language and organisation requirements, listen for answers, & speak fluently, coherently and convincingly. 

Junior Secondary English Language Programmes (F.1-3)

These curriculum-based learning programmes use Longman, Oxford and Aristo materials as a foundation for teaching.  Learners will develop a strong foundation to prepare themselves for more difficult and challenging tasks.

This programme designed to help students develop:

• Functional English to enable students to live in an English speaking society and take advantage of the services offered


• Conversational English language skills to enable students to communicate with native and non-native speakers of English in the community


• A foundation in more academic English language skills (at the Upper-Intermediate level) to assist students wishing to pursue higher education


• knowledge of the culture and customs of English speaking countries through classroom work and activities
